  • Q: Who qualifies to apply for the Invitation Letter?
    The following qualifies to apply:
    Visitors with overseas passport (H.K., Macau I.D., Taiwan Compatriot Travel Certificate), Overseas Residence Permit valid for over one year.
    Chinese representatives with foreign companies' representative offices.

  • Q: Can an overseas business person visit the Fair without an Invitation?
    Yes, after you obtained a business visa, just complete the requirements for the entrance and submit the fee.

  • Q: How to apply for Invitation Letter?

  • Q: What are the charges and other terms to avail of Invitation Letter?
    There is a USD$100 charge for each applicant. The fee mainly covers our cost, the UPS shipping or faxing, The package also comes with reference materials such as maps of Guangzhou or business magazines (if available at the time of shipping).
    After we receive the full payment from you, we will send the original invitation letter along with the rest of the package to you by UPS within one working day. In order to guarantee the promptness and accuracy of the delivery, we can only send the package by UPS. We will inform you of the UPS tracking number for your reference.
    Your request for the invitation letter will be processed only after we receive your payment. Therefore please allow ample time for us to receive and process your payment. If you request to cancel the reservation after the payment is processed but before the package is sent, we will issue a partial refund of $50. After the package is sent, no refund will be issued.

  • Q: When is the deadline for the application of the Invitation letter?
    Deadlines for application are 2 weeks before the fair schedule

  • Q: Could an application be transmitted by way of email, fax, beside post?
    Yes. An overseas business person could submit his or her application through fax, mail, as well as e-mail as long as it contains the essential information required.

  • Q: Could a valid invitation letter be sent in the way of e-mail, fax besides post?
    Normally an invitation letter is sent out by post. In case of emergency, the Fair may send a letter through fax and the fax copy of the letter is acceptable. However transmitting an invitation letter through e-mail is the least desirable one and is rarely used.

  • Q: How can a foreign employee in an oversea company representative in China apply for an Invitation Letter?
    Foreign employees in overseas company's representative offices in China can apply by presenting such documents (copy form acceptable) as Business Certificate, Employee Certificate and ID card, company's name and address and contacting numbers, at least 2 months in advance. Registration is accepted on the strength of the invitation letter (on the one-person, one-letter basis) extended by the Fair and the documents required

  • Q: How many business people could share one letter?
    Up to three business people from the same company can share one Invitation letter.

  • Q: If there are more than 3 people attending the fair, how could they notify the issuing institute of the Fair for an extra letter?
    Please specify in your fax, mail or e-mail to us the number of people attending the fair so that we can arrange for accommodation.

  • Q: Does the Invitation Letter guarantee entry to the fair?
    You still need to apply for an Entry Card once you get to the fair. You can obtain this from the Fair entrance.

    About Visa Issuance:

  • Q: What is the type of Visa I would need for the tradeshows?
    The Chinese government imposed a rule that anyone entering China with the purpose of doing business here must hold a Business Visa. Since you are coming here to attend the fair, it would be best to have a Business Visa upon entering China.

  • Q: What if I am holding a different type of Visa (Tourist, Student, etc.)?
    As mentioned earlier, it would be best to have a Business Visa. But if you are already in China under a different type of Visa other than a Business one, you can still use this for entering the Fair, as long as you are not caught red-handed, there is no big deal.

  • Q: What if an overseas business person would like to get a multi-entry visa for his or her convenience?
    Please consult this with the P.R.China's embassy or consulate in your home country.

  • Q: How and where could an overseas business person apply for the Business Visa?
    Entry visa to China is granted against the Invitation letter. For this purpose, kindly approach the Embassy of P. R. China or consulate in your home country with the Invitation Card. In the absence of a Chinese Embassy in your country, kindly approach the Embassy (Consulate) of P. R. China in a neighboring country.

  • Q: Which kind of language service could the Fair provide?
    The Fair provide language service for English, French, German, Arabic, Japanese and Spanish
  • Q: How can I reserve an interpreter for future use?

  • Q: What is the charge for language service?
    The charge for English to Chinese translations is about USD$ 220.00 per day. For other language service, rate varies according to language selected.

  • Q: What service does the Fair provide specially for chain stores?
    Firstly, in order to save your time of the visit, The Fair will organize the right suppliers with their samples to meet you in our meeting-room when you inform the Fair your detailed schedule and purchase list beforehand. (That is Face-to-Face communication between buyers and sellers.)
    Secondly, The Fair can help you host a seminar on the subject that interests you most during the Fair. Such as seminar on the characteristic of a specific market, seminar on the prospects of a product, etc.
    All the service concerning the above items is free.

    About Complaints and Other Issues Regarding the Fair

  • Q: Where and how can we file a complain during or after the Fair?
    During the Fair session, complains about the Fair can be done in the Complain Office at the Fair Complex. After which, fair complaints should be done in the provincial or municipal Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Co-operation Commission of the region where the complained company locates.
